About This Access Site
Dyar Pasture Recreation Area offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing the Oconee River and the upper end of Lake Oconee. This is a great launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat owners looking to explore the scenic Oconee River.

The boat ramp is wide and accommodates both small boats and larger vessels. Ample parking is available for vehicles and boat trailers. Amenities at the site include restrooms, picnic tables, and a short interpretive nature trail.

The Oconee River in this area is relatively wide and slow-moving, making it well-suited for casual paddling and leisure boating. Paddlers can enjoy the peaceful forested banks and wildlife viewing opportunities. Those heading downstream will eventually reach the broader waters of Lake Oconee. Advance reservations are required to use the recreation area.
