Eagle Canyon

**Location & Access:** Eagle Canyon is a boat ramp facility located in Belmar, Keith County, on Lake McConaughy in western Nebraska. This is a primary access point for the lake's water recreation activities, including kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating.

**Launch Conditions & Services:** Before heading out, contact park headquarters at **308-284-8800** to confirm ramp status and current lake conditions. The ramp's usability depends on Lake McConaughy's water elevation; generally allow an additional 3-4 feet of clearance beyond the ramp's end elevation for safe launching. If you need assistance, private tractor launch services are available, with Van's Lakeview located approximately 5 miles away. Fuel and boat rentals are available from vendors around the lake.

**Recreation Opportunities:** McConaughy Lake offers excellent conditions for water sports including water skiing, sailing, and fishing. The area also provides access to nearby camping and picnic facilities. Paddlers should consult the interactive lake guide and obtain contour maps to plan their route and locate fishing areas.
