About This Access Site
Eagle Creek Marina provides access to Eagle Creek, part of the scenic Ohio River – Meldahl Pool in Brown County. This is a non-reservable public facility offering multiple launch options depending on your vessel type. Kayakers and canoeists can launch small, non-motorized boats from the old boat ramp at the Earth Discovery Center parking lot, which requires portaging down the ramp (vehicle access not permitted). Larger boats and trailers must use the 42nd Street Boat Ramp located on Dandy Trail, south of the Eagle Creek 56th Street Gatehouse.

**Important Restrictions:** All motorized personal boats are limited to 10 horsepower maximum, and the overall boat length restriction is 26 feet. This designation as part of the Meldahl Pool suggests calmer, reservoir-like conditions compared to free-flowing river sections. The scenic Eagle Creek area features mature woods and access to the historic Eagle Creek Bridge, making it an attractive destination for paddlers seeking a quieter paddling experience. Refer to current regulations and facility hours before visiting.
