Eagle Nest Lake State Park provides reliable boat access via multiple ramp points near the visitor center at 42 Marina Way in Eagle Nest, NM. This alpine lake sits at 8,200 feet elevation in the scenic Moreno Valley and offers calm, protected water ideal for kayaking and canoeing. The park is easily accessed from U.S. 64 and features full amenities including a visitor center, restrooms, camping with pull-through RV sites, and drinking water.

The lake is known as a peaceful fishing and recreational destination with good wildlife viewing opportunities and mountain scenery, including views of Wheeler Peak. Water conditions are generally calm and suitable for paddlers of all skill levels. Note that the park is currently undergoing renovations to upgrade electrical infrastructure; however, these construction activities do not affect boating and lake access. Reservations are recommended, especially for camping, and can be made through the New Mexico State Parks reservation website.
