East Fork Campground Area 5

East Fork Campground offers a well-developed boat ramp access point on East Lynn Lake, a 12-mile-long impoundment on the East Fork of Twelvepole Creek near Kiahsville, Wayne County. The lake features 44 miles of scenic shoreline winding through forested, rolling hills. The campground provides a full range of facilities including a dedicated boat ramp, 167 campsites (many with electric and water hookups), showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and a dump station. This makes it an excellent base for extended paddling and boating trips.

The lake is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, water-skiing, and fishing. Whether you're launching for day paddles or planning a camping-based getaway, Area 5 offers convenient access with quality amenities. Campsite reservations are available through Recreation.gov (phone: 304-849-5000 or 304-849-2355), with rates starting at $35 for regular sites and $50 for waterfront campsites in 2025. From I-64 near Huntington, take Exit 8 south on Highway 152 to Wayne, then east on Route 37 for 19 miles, following signs to the campground. Note that the facility does not have ADA accessibility.

Anglers fish for largemouth, smallmouth, and striped bass, black crappie, red-breast sunfish, walleye, channel catfish and muskellunge. 29 species of fish have been found in the lake.

Several miles of hiking trails thread through the wooded hills on the lakeshore, including the 1.5-mile East Fork Trail, which begins within the campground. Other trails in the area include the Damsite Trail, Overlook Trail and Lakeside Trail. Facilities
