Located near Cataldo in Kootenai County, this public access site offers a convenient launch point for paddlers and boaters exploring the Coeur d'Alene River. The facility features a short paved boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats, along with a large paved parking lot and vault toilets. There is no launch fee. The ramp provides direct river access without a dock, making it ideal for self-launching kayaks and canoes.
To reach the site from Coeur d'Alene, take Interstate 90 east to Exit 34 (Rose Lake), then drive south on State Highway 3 for approximately 11-13 miles. Turn west on S. Watson Road or S. Medimont Road (depending on your approach) and follow signs to the boat ramp. The site has no running water or other amenities beyond parking and restrooms, so plan accordingly for longer outings.
This access point serves as a gateway to the scenic Coeur d'Alene River and nearby recreational areas, including the renowned Coeur d'Alene Lake and the Coeur d'Alene River Wildlife Management Area—excellent destinations for fishing, paddling, and wildlife viewing.
