Elijah Run is a well-developed public boat launch on the Kinzua Arm of the Allegheny Reservoir in McKean County. The facility features a 4-lane concrete ramp with a 130-foot courtesy dock for loading and unloading, plus ample parking for 155 vehicles including trailer spaces. The site is accessed via Forest Road 262 (Longhouse National Scenic Byway) on the western shore of the reservoir. This is a popular access point for recreational boating and water sports on the reservoir.
The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for paddling and camping. Allegheny Reservoir is a large, scenic impoundment surrounded by forest within the Allegheny National Forest. Three nearby campgrounds with boat access—Pine Grove, Hopewell, and Morrison—are within 10 miles and offer reserved campsites. Paddlers should note that this location is popular for water skiing and motorboat use, so plan accordingly. The site also features a shoreline trail for hiking access.
