The Elm Hill - North boat ramp provides convenient access to J. Percy Priest Lake, a popular reservoir located just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. This US Army Corps of Engineers-managed facility is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small-to-medium sized powerboats.
The ramp itself is paved and features a concrete launch area, making it easy to put your vessel in the water. J. Percy Priest Lake is a sizable reservoir with over 14,000 acres of surface area, so there is ample room for paddling and motorized boating. The Stones River flows into the lake, providing scenic river access as well. Nearby amenities include the Anderson Road Campground, which is reservable, as well as other recreation areas managed by the Corps of Engineers.
Boaters and paddlers should be aware that there are water restrictions and a safety zone below and above the Percy Priest Lake Dam. The lake offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, with 24 public use areas including picnic sites, comfort stations, and commercial marinas. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the nearby Visitor's Center to learn more about the lake and get any questions answered.
