Elm Lake Wildlife Area offers public boat ramp access to Elm Lake located in the northwestern corner of the lake in Clarion, Wright County, Iowa. The county-owned 28-acre site provides a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore the lake. An additional 30 acres on the east side of the lake are accessible only by water, offering opportunities for paddlers to discover quieter, more remote areas.
To use the boat ramp, you'll need to purchase a Boat Ramp Annual Pass either at the kiosk on-site or through The Rec at The Lakefront™. Passes purchased at the kiosk must be redeemed for an annual pass sticker. This is a straightforward access point for day trips and recreational paddling on Elm Lake, making it suitable for paddlers of all experience levels seeking still water paddling.
