**Location & Access:** The public boat launch is located on the eastern shore of Embden Pond in Embden, Somerset County, just off Embden Pond Road. The ramp is a shallow gravel launch suitable for small to medium-sized boats and kayaks/canoes.
**Water Body Overview:** Embden Pond is a substantial 1,468-acre lake with a maximum depth of 180 feet, offering a good-sized paddling destination in Maine's western region. The pond connects to Mill Stream, providing additional exploration opportunities for paddlers.
**Important Notes:** Be prepared for an invasive species inspection—trained monitors wearing yellow t-shirts may check your boat before launch as part of efforts to protect the pond. Swimming is prohibited at the boat ramp area for safety reasons, though a public beach is available nearby.
