About This Access Site
Enbom Lake offers a convenient boat ramp and dock access for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters in Rio Arriba County near Dulce, New Mexico. The launch facility is located near the campground and features both a boat ramp and dock access via stairs, providing flexible entry options for different watercraft and user preferences. This access point is approximately 52 miles southeast of Reserve, NM (about a 2-hour drive).

Before heading out, be aware that lake usability depends on current water levels—check minimum lake elevation requirements, as the ramp may be inaccessible during severe floods or low water conditions. The surrounding area offers additional recreation opportunities, including nearby Heron Lake State Park and Heron Reservoir, both part of the San Juan-Chama Project. Horse Lake, located about 2.5 miles east via Road J-14, is another option for paddlers, though access there is weather-dependent due to dirt road conditions that can deteriorate quickly when wet.
