About This Access Site
The Enid Lake boat ramp provides access to the Yocona River and Enid Lake, a popular fishing and recreation destination in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. The ramp is located within the Persimmon Hill Campground, a reservable facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Enid Lake is known for its excellent crappie, bass, and catfish fishing. The lake was created by a dam project on the Yocona River and offers over 44,000 acres of water and surrounding public lands for outdoor recreation. Paddlers and boaters should be aware that water levels can fluctuate significantly throughout the year, with lower levels common from July to January for flood control purposes. It's recommended to check the current water level and launch conditions before visiting.

The Persimmon Hill Campground offers campsites, a beach area, playgrounds, and other amenities for visitors. There is a $5 vehicle fee to access the boat ramp. Nearby recreation areas include the Coldwater River National Wildlife Refuge and additional campgrounds along Enid Lake. Paddlers and boaters should contact the campground at (662) 563-4571 for the latest information on water conditions, fees, and facility operations.
