Etoile Park offers a four-lane boat ramp on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Nacogdoches County, accessible via Texas Highway 103 on the lake's east side. The multi-lane ramp accommodates all boat types, including kayaks and canoes, with available parking and handicap access. However, the ramp may become unusable during low water periods, so water level conditions should be checked before visiting.
The park itself is a day-use only facility—the former camping area has been closed due to budget restrictions. No additional developed amenities are available on-site, so plan accordingly. Sam Rayburn Reservoir is a large 114,000-acre impoundment in the Big Thicket region, offering substantial paddling opportunities on relatively calm water typical of reservoir conditions. This access point provides a convenient launching point for exploring the reservoir's expansive waters.
