Eureka East Public Water Access

**Eureka Lake** in McPherson County offers excellent recreational opportunities with two boat ramps accommodating various watercraft, from kayaks and canoes to larger boats. The access site features a handicap-accessible dock on the North shore near a public shelter house, making it convenient for paddlers of all abilities. A public restroom is located at the South boat ramp area adjacent to the swimming beach.

The lake provides good amenities for a full day of paddling or boating. On-site facilities include a bait shop, four public fishing docks (including a heated option), fish cleaning stations, picnic shelters, and a nature trail. Note that approximately 3.5 miles of shoreline remain privately controlled, so paddlers should stay aware of property boundaries. A park entrance license is required to access the boat ramps and use areas at this South Dakota recreation area.
