Location
Elk Creek Boat Ramp provides direct access to Anderson Ranch Reservoir (4,730 acres), located just north of Anderson Ranch Dam. The site features a cement boat ramp and parking areas for boat trailers. Note that the handling dock has been temporarily removed and is awaiting replacement. Vault toilets are available on-site. The facility is non-reservable and managed by the US Forest Service.
**Recreation Opportunities**
Anderson Ranch Reservoir is a popular destination for fishing (trout, sockeye salmon, bass, and perch—check current regulations) and recreational boating. The 7.4-square-mile reservoir offers plenty of water for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The site sustained storm damage in 2013 with temporary repairs completed to maintain public access; visitors should expect an active recreation area.

Located near Reclamation Village in Elmore County, the ramp is approximately 20 miles east of Mountain Home via U.S. Highway 20 to Anderson Ranch Dam Road. Three nearby campgrounds (Camp Creek Trailhead, Pine Campground, and Spillway Campground) offer additional camping options within 10 miles, making this a convenient base for multi-day paddling trips.

Portions of the parking area, both cement boat ramp and wooden docks were damaged. Temporary repairs were completed, which has allowed public access to continue using the site.A contractor and Forest Staff are scheduled to begin repair on September 9, 2015 the repair will consist of removal of damaged facilities, and pouring of new ramp, dock anchors and abutment. Repair work was finished approximately October 19, 2015. The Ramp re-opened 10-20-2015.Once the work is completed, additional time is needed to allow for curing of the concrete.
