About This Access Site
The Flamingo Marina provides excellent access to Florida Bay and the inland lakes of Everglades National Park via the Buttonwood Canal. This saltwater facility accommodates kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats with a dedicated boat ramp, dock/pier access, and canoe/kayak launch area. Be aware of tidal conditions—the entrance draft is 2 feet at low tide and 4 feet at high tide, so plan your launch accordingly. The marina offers full amenities including fuel (diesel and unleaded), fish-cleaning stations, ice, groceries, and on-site ranger staff for information and assistance.

Paddlers will find Flamingo an ideal basecamp for exploring the unique mangrove ecosystems and shallow-water paddling opportunities throughout Florida Bay and the park's interior. The facility supports both guided excursions and independent trips, with rental options and ranger-led programs available. On-site camping at the nearby Flamingo Campground makes extended stays convenient. For current information on conditions, services, and any closures, contact the Flamingo Marina directly at (855) 780-2207 or visit their official website.
