About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides convenient access to the Alligator Alley Canal South in the Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area. Located on the south side of I-75 at mile marker 32 near Weston in Broward County, this access point is part of a network of ramps along Alligator Alley that connect paddlers to the vast Everglades ecosystem. The nearby Mile Marker 35 rest stop offers additional facilities and is noted as an excellent location to experience the Everglades.

The canal system here is ideal for kayakers and canoeists exploring the flat, slow-moving waters typical of the Everglades. Wildlife viewing is a primary attraction, and paddlers should be prepared for alligators and other native wildlife. Access to the Francis S. Taylor WMA and connections to the broader Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge system make this a good starting point for extended paddling trips into protected waters.

For planning purposes, check with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for current conditions, water levels, and any seasonal closures before your visit. This is an official wildlife management area, so familiarize yourself with local regulations regarding paddling, wildlife, and habitat protection.
