This government-owned public access point provides excellent facilities for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats into the Alligator Alley Canal system within the Everglades Wildlife Management Area. The site features four concrete boat ramp lanes in good-to-excellent condition, plus both launch and staging docks to accommodate various vessel types and sizes. With 54 trailer parking spots and 22 vehicle spaces (including 2 handicap-accessible spots), the facility is well-suited for day trips and group outings.
Located along I-75 at Mile Marker 35 in Broward County, this rest area provides convenient access to the Everglades' canal network while also offering recreational amenities beyond boating. The site is fully accessible, featuring both stairs and a gradual ramp leading to an elevated boardwalk with wildlife viewing opportunities.
