Located in Brownwood on Pecan Bayou, Fabis Park offers a convenient launch point for paddlers and boaters exploring this slow-moving bayou system. The ramp provides access to a peaceful stretch of water suitable for kayaking and canoeing. To find the ramp, take FM 2125 north from Highway 279 in Brownwood for 1.9 miles, then turn right into Fabis Primitive Park and follow the park road to the paddling trail sign.
The facility is a primitive park with basic amenities—the boat ramp is available from 8am to dusk. Note that there is no water, electricity, or dump station on-site. If you're interested in overnight stays, a permit is required; contact the Adams Street Community Center at 511 E. Adams Street in Brownwood.
