Located 30 miles south of Zapata off US 83, this free county boat ramp provides mid-lake access to Falcon International Reservoir on the Rio Grande. The ramp can accommodate all boat types, including kayaks and canoes, making it a convenient launch point for paddlers exploring this large reservoir. Note that when water levels drop below 265 feet, launching is limited to shore access only.
The facility includes a fish cleaning station and ample parking. Anglers frequent the lake for largemouth bass and channel catfish. For those seeking additional amenities and camping options, Falcon State Park is located at the downstream end of the reservoir and offers camping facilities ranging from tent sites to full hook-up RV spots, though entrance and camping fees apply at the state park. The county ramp itself is free to use.
