About This Access Site
The Fall River Lake boat ramp is located on the south side of the reservoir near the dam in Engineers Cove, providing convenient access to this 10,900-acre recreational area in Greenwood County, Kansas. The ramp is situated on a large reservoir rather than moving water, offering calm conditions ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. The facility is not ADA compliant. Access the ramp from US Highway 400 at mile marker 344 (Z 50 Rd)—turn north 0.09 miles, then east 2.4 miles, and south at the park entrance.

Fall River Lake supports diverse water activities including boating, water skiing, jet skiing, and swimming. The reservoir is well-suited for paddlers seeking protected water, while also offering excellent fishing opportunities for white bass and other species. The surrounding 10,900-acre Fall River Game Management Area provides scenic prairie landscape and wildlife viewing. Nearby Toronto Lake, Kansas' only granite outcrop, is worth visiting for additional recreation and historical interest from the 1887 gold rush.
