About This Access Site
Located in St. Augustine, Faver-Dykes State Park offers a compact boat ramp providing convenient access to Pellicer Creek for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The ramp features an easy on-off design ideal for launching paddlecraft. An entrance fee applies to the park. While kayak rentals are no longer available at the park, outside rental services are accessible nearby through Tropical Kayaks of Palm Coast.

Pellicer Creek gradually narrows and transitions to freshwater conditions upstream from the launch point, with increasing tree cover and native vegetation. The creek is situated within the scenic Faver-Dykes State Park, featuring longleaf pines and a restored sandhill ecosystem. The park's southern border along Pellicer Creek provides access to extensive saltmarsh and tidal wetland habitats; nearby paddlers can also explore the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve and Fort Matanzas National Monument for extended trips.
