The Fields Landing boat ramp provides convenient access to the southern half of Humboldt Bay, a large estuary on California's north coast. This free public launch site is located just 5 miles south of Eureka, with easy access from Highway 101.
The boat ramp is situated along the dredged Fields Landing Channel, which reaches depths of around 30 feet, allowing boats of any size to navigate to the main body of Humboldt Bay and out to the Pacific Ocean. This makes the Fields Landing ramp an excellent option for launching kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft to explore the bay's sheltered waters and coastline.
Amenities at the site include restrooms and picnic tables, providing a convenient spot for paddlers and boaters to prepare for their time on the water. Whether you're looking to fish, birdwatch, or simply enjoy the scenic views, the Fields Landing boat ramp offers a great starting point to access the diverse recreational opportunities of Humboldt Bay.
