**Location & Access:** First Bridge is a boat ramp access point on the Nestucca River near Beaver in Tillamook County, Oregon. This site serves as one of several public launch points on the lower Nestucca River, a 50-100 foot wide stream popular with drift boaters and anglers. The location provides convenient access for paddlers and motorized boaters exploring the lower river reaches.
**Paddling Considerations:** The lower Nestucca River has limited bank access due to extensive private property ownership, making boat-based exploration ideal. First Bridge functions as both a launch and take-out point within a network that includes other public access sites at Farmer Creek, Three Rivers, and Pacific City. The area is particularly popular during steelhead runs. Nearby, the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge (1,202 acres) offers additional exploration opportunities where the Nestucca and Little Nestucca Rivers converge.
**Nearby Amenities:** Three reservable campgrounds are located within 10 miles: Castle Rock Group Campground, Sandbeach Campground at Sand Lake Recreation Area, and Hebo Lake Campground. Note that some nearby recreation areas, including Whipup Staging Area and Nathan's Trail in the Nestucca River Recreation Area, have closures through November 1, 2025, for forest management operations—check ahead for current conditions.
