About This Access Site
Fish Camp County Park in McFarland offers excellent access to Lake Kegonsa, Wisconsin's largest glacial lake at over 3,200 acres. The 15-acre park features a dedicated canoe and kayak launch with an accessible floating pier and hand-cart ramp, making it ideal for paddlers of all abilities. The separate facility keeps small paddle craft away from the main motorboat traffic area, providing a safer launching experience for kayakers and canoeists.

In addition to water access, the park includes amenities such as restrooms, fish cleaning facilities, trailer parking, and picnic areas along the scenic shoreline. The location at the inlet of the Yahara River offers convenient access to paddlers exploring both the lake and river systems. With its protected launching area and fully accessible facilities, Fish Camp is a well-developed access point suitable for paddlers launching kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft.
