Fish Lake

Fish Lake offers a graveled boat ramp providing convenient access for paddlers and small motorboat operators in the Barlow area of Ballard County. The site is located within the Boatwright Wildlife Management Area, which supports fishing for bass, crappie, and bluegill, particularly during summer months. Note that swimming is prohibited at the boat ramp area per Kentucky law; designated swimming areas with lifeguards are available elsewhere if needed. Nearby paddlers can also explore the Ohio River's Pool 53, located downstream near Mound City, Illinois, though that requires additional travel.
