About This Access Site
Fish Lake Recreation Area offers public boat launch access through Fish Lake Campground and Resort in the scenic Cascade-Siskiyou region near Mt. McLoughlin. The launch facilities include a dedicated boat ramp, parking lot, and restrooms. This location is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats looking to explore a pristine mountain lake surrounded by old-growth forest.
The site is accessed via Forest Road 800 off Highway 140, approximately 30 miles east of White City, OR. Beyond the launch facilities, the area provides excellent amenities for extended trips, with nearby campgrounds including Doe Point, North Fork, and Beaver Dam Group Campground—all within 10 miles. The resort itself offers full-service lodging and RV facilities with showers and laundry. Anglers will appreciate the over one mile of shoreline and accessible fishing pier, while the pristine lake setting makes it a popular base for exploring the surrounding Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.

A truly beautiful setting in pristine old growth forest at the foot of Mt. McLoughlin (9,495 feet). The resort offers 11 cabins for lodging, 45 full hook-up RV sites, electric-only sites and no hook-up sites for tenting. Shower and laundry facilities for our registered guests.
