About This Access Site
Located in Bennettsville, Marlboro County, this public access point provides a boat ramp for launching onto Lake Wallace, a 273-acre man-made lake. The facility includes a dirt parking area and is situated near the sailing club. All boat traffic on the lake must follow a counter-clockwise route of travel. Electric motors are not permitted on canoes or small boats at this location.

Beyond the main ramp, Lake Wallace offers additional amenities including a handicap-accessible fishing pier and picnic area. An adjacent diversion canal also provides alternative paddling and boating opportunities. The lake is open for fishing 24/7 and features a 1.5-mile illuminated walking track that separates water sports from fishing areas. This makes it a suitable destination for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters looking for a calm-water paddling experience with good onshore facilities.
