Fivemile Creek provides boat ramp access to the Clearwater River near Orofino in Lewis County. This is a medium-sized river with an average flow of 379 cubic feet per second and a moderate gradient of 3.4 feet per mile, making it suitable for motorboats, canoes, and kayaks. The river's average velocity of 1.83 feet per second provides a manageable current for most paddlers. The access point sits at approximately 288 meters elevation with over 500 feet of total elevation change as the river flows toward its mouth.
