About This Access Site
The East Flagstaff Road boat ramp provides convenient access to Flagstaff Lake, a sprawling 17,377-acre reservoir in Somerset County. This launch site is located on the eastern end of the lake near the dam area and serves as a primary access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring this popular recreation destination. The launch is accessible via Long Falls Dam Road from North New Portland.
Flagstaff Lake offers excellent paddling opportunities with multiple islands, scenic shorelines, and free camping options. The Round Barn campsites, located on the eastern shore, are accessible by water or via a short trail from the parking area and feature fire rings and pit toilets at no cost.
