The Florence Bridge access site on the Bitterroot River offers a well-developed concrete boat ramp on river left, just upstream of the Florence Bridge. The site features a nicely maintained parking area and is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boats. This is a day-use only facility with easy access for all boat types, making it a convenient launch point for paddlers exploring the Bitterroot River.
The immediate area provides good opportunities for wade fishing and is located within the scenic Bitterroot Range of the Rocky Mountains. Nearby amenities include Charles Waters Campground and the reservable Larry Creek Group Camp (both within 10 miles), as well as the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge for additional recreation. For paddlers planning multi-day trips, note that the nearby Stevensville access point is located on the east side of the river just below Stevensville Bridge, offering another option for shuttle runs or take-outs.
