About This Access Site
The FM 1447 access point is one of three Wood County-maintained boat ramps serving Lake Quitman in Wood County, Texas. This ramp provides convenient launch access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the lake. The facility includes a picnic area, making it suitable for day-use paddling trips.

Additional amenities in the area support longer visits and camping trips. RV sites are available through a privately operated marina near the eastside ramp, which also offers fuel, bait, and food services. Primitive camping is permitted in parks near the dam, though facilities are basic without hookups. Before your visit, contact Wood County Parks or check locally for current conditions, specific ramp conditions, and any applicable fees.
