FM 314 provides public boat access to Hubbard Creek Reservoir in Stephens County, Texas. This is one of several public ramps available on the lake, with good reliability for launching—the ramp at nearby Paul Prater Landing (at the south end of the dam) is designed to remain usable even during lower water levels, down to elevation 1,160 msl. The reservoir typically maintains adequate water levels for boating year-round.
The lake offers multiple access points depending on your location and needs. In addition to FM 314, paddlers and boaters can use other public ramps including Peeler, Corley, and Clark, which all support docking at lake elevations of 1,175 msl and higher. Facilities in the area include bait shops on US 80 and various marinas, though boat rentals are not available. For current conditions or specific information about FM 314's amenities, contact the local Game Warden or Stephens County Parks District at (325) 673-8254.
