About This Access Site
Forest Lake #3 is a public boat ramp located on the south shore of the lake's third basin in Washington County, Minnesota. The ramp is 28 feet wide and can accommodate up to 16 vehicles with trailers, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters launching various watercraft. The site features amenities including parking, picnic tables, benches, grills, and picnic shelters.
Forest Lake is a large, 2,251-acre lake divided into three distinct basins, offering ample space for paddling and recreation. However, be aware that the lake contains invasive species including zebra mussels (discovered in 2015), Eurasian watermilfoil, and flowering rush. Before leaving the lake, inspect and remove any visible aquatic plants from your boat, trailer, and equipment, and drain all water completely. The lake is actively managed for walleye and muskellunge fishing and receives heavy recreational use due to three public access points.
