About This Access Site
Fort Adams State Park offers convenient access to Narragansett Bay's East Brenton Cove near Newport, Rhode Island. The boat ramp features a concrete slab launch and is located at the southwest corner of the park. To reach it, take the second right off Fort Adams Drive (at the Public Sailing Center lot), then bear right toward the beach area and continue past the old Mule Barn to the deep water launch ramp. The facility also includes fishing piers for anglers.

This location provides excellent access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore Narragansett Bay and its surrounding waters. The park itself offers a range of amenities including historic fort tours, saltwater swimming, and recreational facilities. Nearby paddlers may also be interested in exploring the John H.
