Foscue Creek Boat Ramp provides access to the Black Warrior River, a large navigable waterway in western Alabama. The ramp is located within Foscue Creek Campground, a recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Black Warrior River is a sizable river, running 168 miles with an average flow of over 10,800 cubic feet per second. It has a relatively gentle gradient of 1.1 feet per mile, making it well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. Paddlers can explore the winding river and its tributaries, while power boaters will find ample room to cruise.
The boat ramp at Foscue Creek offers direct access to the river. The campground also provides amenities like full hookup RV sites, picnic shelters, and hiking trails, making it a convenient launching point for both day trips and overnight adventures on the water. Anglers will find the river and adjacent creeks to be productive fishing waters, home to bass, crappie, catfish, and other species.
