Fountain Grove Conservation Area offers a concrete boat ramp on the west side of Che-Ru Lake, making it a reliable launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site includes a privy and covered fishing dock. Located near Meadville in Linn County, this access point provides entry to a scenic lake within a 7,959-acre conservation area that spans Linn and Livingston Counties.

**Important Seasonal Restrictions**
Be aware that Che-Ru Lake closes to fishing (and recreational use) from **October 15th through February 15th** when the area becomes part of a waterfowl refuge. Plan your paddling trips accordingly during the open season. The conservation area allows general public use including boating and motorized vessels during open periods, though deep water is present—exercise caution while navigating, especially in boat lanes used by hunters.
