About This Access Site
The Fox Chain O'Lakes boat ramp in Antioch provides convenient access to one of Illinois' premier multi-lake systems. This state-owned facility is part of Chain O'Lakes State Park and offers free launching for kayaks, canoes, and motorized vessels. The ramp provides easy water access to a chain of interconnected lakes totaling thousands of acres, with the largest being Fox/Nippersink Lake (2,376.8 acres) and Pistakee Lake (1,715.7 acres).

This access point features ample parking for vehicles with boat trailers, located just a short walk from the launch ramp, along with well-maintained restroom facilities. The interconnected lake system supports diverse paddling experiences and is home to excellent fishing opportunities including bass, northern pike, walleye, and muskie. A network of strategically placed ramps throughout the chain allows paddlers to explore multiple lakes and plan various routes based on their skill level and time available.
