Fred L. Day Boat Ramp provides convenient access to Lake Moultrie in Cross, Berkeley County. The facility features a single-lane concrete ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. A gravel parking area accommodates approximately 50 vehicle-trailer combinations, making it a practical spot for day trips on this large impoundment. The ramp is maintained by Santee Cooper.
The site includes a fishing pier and is located within the Moultrie Hunt Unit Wildlife Management Area. Paddlers should note that there is no courtesy dock or onsite restroom facilities. To reach the ramp from Cross, take SC Highway 6 East for 3 miles, then turn left onto Boating Landing Way. Lake Moultrie is a substantial reservoir ideal for kayaking and canoeing, offering diverse paddling opportunities across its expansive waters.
