About This Access Site
Friendship Park offers boat access to Granger Lake via two concrete launch ramps—one six-lane and one two-lane—making it a solid option for kayakers, canoeists, and larger recreational boats. Located approximately 7 miles east of Granger on FM 1331 (near Granger Dam), the park provides day-use access along with a swim beach and multiple picnic facilities. The facility is reservable for group shelters and camping, with water and electric hookups available seasonally (April–September).

Granger Lake is known as one of the top five crappie and white bass fishing spots in Central Texas, indicating good fish habitat and moderate activity levels. The park's scenic location in the Texas Blackland Prairie makes it particularly attractive in spring when wildflowers bloom. Note that the park has limited amenities compared to some larger facilities, and visitors should call ahead at 512-859-2668 for current conditions and details about launch availability. The site is about 15 miles from Taylor and 40 miles from Austin.
