Fritch Fortress

Fritch Fortress provides public boat access to Lake Meredith on the Canadian River in the Texas Panhandle. The facility features a 30-foot-wide concrete boat ramp with a courtesy dock for loading and unloading. A comfort station with potable water, flush toilets, and showers is available at the parking area. The location sits on a scenic caprock overlooking the reservoir, with picnic tables, shade shelters, and pull-through parking for vehicle and trailer access. The ramp is open year-round for boating, swimming, camping, and other water activities.

**Access & Navigation:** From Fritch, take Eagle Boulevard north and turn onto Fritch Fortress Highway, following it approximately 4 miles to the facility. Note that Lake Meredith's shoreline is very steep with limited shoreline access, so launching from the ramp is essential. Boat docks are available at the open ramps. The reservoir offers excellent conditions for kayaking, canoeing, and motorboating in a scenic, high-plains setting.

**Nearby Amenities:** Multiple campgrounds operate within 10 miles, including Harbor Bay, Chimney Hollow, and Blue West. The Lake Meredith National Recreation Area encompasses the broader region, and Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument is also nearby for land-based exploration. No camping fee or RV hookups are available at the ramp itself.
