Located in Providence's Fox Point neighborhood on Gano Street, Gano Park offers convenient public access to the Seekonk River for both hand-launched and trailered boats. The ramp opened in 2014 and serves as one of Providence's primary water access points, featuring dedicated parking for vehicles with trailers as well as easy carry-in access for kayaks and canoes. The boat ramp is situated between the Roger Williams National Memorial and the Crawford Street bridge.
At this launch site, the Seekonk River is over 1,000 feet wide, making it suitable for a variety of paddling and boating activities. Most paddlers launching here typically head north up the river. The location provides a gateway to exploring both the Seekonk and connections to the Providence River system.
