George's Landing is a one-lane boat ramp located mid-lake on the south side of the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir, accessed off W County Highway C near Mosinee. This is a well-developed access site with full amenities including a marina, boat rentals, bait and tackle shop, and nearby restaurant and lodging options. The ramp provides reliable access to the 6,348-acre reservoir, which offers calm water conditions ideal for recreational kayaking and canoeing.
The Big Eau Pleine Reservoir, created in the 1930s by dam construction, features maximum depths around 46 feet and provides a scenic paddling destination in central Wisconsin. Paddlers should note that George's Landing serves as a primary access point for the reservoir itself; if planning downstream river trips below the dam, alternative launch and take-out points (such as Highway 153 and Maryel Drive Boat Ramp, 2.2 miles downstream) may be more suitable. RV hookups and campgrounds are available nearby, making this a convenient base for extended paddling trips.
