About This Access Site
**Important Notice:** This PA Fish and Boat Commission ramp is currently **not functional** due to water level changes from a recent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project on the Monongahela River. Before planning a trip, contact the PA Fish and Boat Commission to confirm current conditions and access.

When operational, Glassworks provides a public boat ramp with ample parking at 342 Stoney Hill Road in Greensboro, Greene County. The facility accommodates motorboats, canoes, and kayaks. To access from nearby Monongahela, take PA-837 South for 1.3 miles, then turn left on Nelston Street. **Boat registration or a PA use permit is required.**

The Monongahela River at this location is a large, powerful waterway (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of over 13,000 cubic feet per second and current speeds around 4 mph. Paddlers should be prepared for strong currents and expect typical conditions for a major industrial river corridor in the Appalachian region. As an alternative access point, consider the Monongahela Boat Ramp downstream in Monongahela, PA, or contact local paddling clubs for current recommendations on usable launches.
