About This Access Site
Glendale Reservoir is a 208-240 acre water body near Preston, Idaho that offers access for kayaking, canoeing, and non-motorized boating. Located in scenic Franklin County, the reservoir supports fishing for bass, bluegill, and rainbow trout. **Note: The boat ramp is currently closed due to rapidly changing water levels.** Only non-motorized boats are permitted on the water. The site includes a dock and vault toilets for user convenience.

To reach the reservoir from Preston, head north on US Highway 91/N State Street and turn east on State Highway 36/E 800 Street. Travel 1.75 miles and turn right on E Glendale Road, continuing approximately 2.25 miles to the reservoir. Before visiting, check current conditions with Idaho Fish & Game, as water levels can fluctuate significantly and may affect paddling opportunities. The nearby Albert Moser Campground on the Cub River (about 9 miles south) offers camping accommodations for those planning an extended trip to the area.

The campground contains six single-family and three double-family sites, all with picnic tables and campfire rings. Some sites also have grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs throughout the campground are dirt. A host is located five miles up Cub River Road at Willow Flat Campground.Natural Features
The banks of the gentle Cub River are lined with dense stands of cottonwood trees, which offer pleasant shade in the summer and bright autumn color.
