Glenn Ford Access Area provides a convenient public boat launch on the Tugaloo River near its confluence with Lake Hartwell in Fair Play, South Carolina. The facility features a 2-lane paved boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. This access point is ideal for paddlers looking to explore the scenic Tugaloo River or launch onto Hartwell Lake, one of the most popular U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoirs in the nation. The site is located southwest of Anderson off County Road 741 and is open year-round.
A $5 parking fee applies, and annual passes are available. The park operates from 7 AM to 10 PM, with office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins is located within 10 miles for those planning overnight trips.
