Goose Island State Park

Located in Aransas County near Corpus Christi, the Goose Island State Park boat ramp provides access to the productive waters of St. Charles and Aransas bays. The facility features a well-maintained concrete ramp with two lanes, ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. A small concrete parking lot with dedicated boat trailer parking accommodates approximately 12 vehicles. Note that an admission fee applies to enter the park, and courtesy dock use may be restricted at certain times.

Paddlers and boaters should plan to launch and depart efficiently, as facilities operate with limited capacity. A fish cleaning station is available on-site. If visiting during special events, use the dedicated Boat Ramp Parking Lot or Island Triangle Parking Lot south of the ramp to ensure adequate parking. The area is excellent for fishing, wildlife observation—particularly birding—and exploring the calm bay waters. Additional public boat ramps are available in nearby St. Charles Bay and Copano Bay if needed.
