Goose Pond

Goose Pond in the Ballard Wildlife Management Area offers a single-lane concrete boat ramp located off KY-70 near the entrance to Harris-Dickerson WMA. This access point serves paddlers and boaters launching onto waters within the Ballard WMA, a managed waterfowl area in western Kentucky near Bandana. The ramp is straightforward and functional, though it sees significant use during hunting seasons, particularly waterfowl season (January 15 - February 15).

To reach the access site, take US-60 north from Wickliffe to KY-1105 in Barlow, then turn left on Turner Landing Road. Before launching, check current regulations with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, as specific areas around Donaldson Creek and the old Cumberland River channel are actively managed for waterfowl hunting.
