About This Access Site
The Grand Marais Recreation Site provides excellent water access along the Ouachita River in southern Arkansas. This multi-use facility, operated by Union County, offers a 5-lane boat ramp, parking for 75 vehicles, and amenities like restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and a trailer dump station.

The boat ramp is located within the city of Grand Marais, on the east side of the commercial harbor. It's part of the Ouachita-Black River - Felsenthal Pool, which offers boating, fishing, camping, and day use opportunities across multiple public access points. With its wide, slow-moving waters, the Ouachita River is well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and small motorboats.

The Grand Marais Recreation Site is nestled within the 76,000-acre Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge, providing a peaceful and scenic setting for outdoor enthusiasts.
