About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Grasshopper Access is located in Dalys, Beaverhead County, approximately 10 miles downstream from Clark Canyon Dam on the Beaverhead River. The site features a boat ramp suitable for launching and taking out kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft. This access point provides a convenient middle section float option between the dam and downstream areas.

**Practical Information for Paddlers**
This is a solid put-in or take-out point for float trips on the Beaverhead River. The site is accessible by vehicle and provides adequate space for boat loading and unloading. As with all Beaverhead River access areas, be sure to check current water conditions and flows before your trip, as the river is dam-regulated and conditions can vary. The Beaverhead is known for its clear, cold water and productive trout habitat, making it popular for both fishing floats and recreational paddling. Standard Montana fishing regulations and public use rules apply.

**Planning Your Trip**
Refer to the Montana Fishing Access Guide and current river conditions before launching. This access point works well as either a starting point for downstream floats or a convenient takeout location for trips originating further upstream near the dam or at other upper access points.
